With health and safety embedded as a core value, our ambition is to be recognised as the safest building envelope contractor in the UK.
To achieve this, we operate to standards that go beyond minimum legal requirements, ensuring that risks are minimised and that our people are empowered to work safely. As stated in our Health & Safety policy, we are fully committed to conducting [our] operations in a manner that minimises the risk of injury, ill health or damage to property and we recognise our moral and legal duty to safeguard… the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and any other persons who may be affected.
Our culture of safety is driven by structured risk management, worker participation and continual improvement. This includes maintaining an effective Health & Safety Management System in accordance with ISO 45001, which is independently assessed and issued by TÜV and demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement beyond statutory requirements.
How We Create and Maintain a Strong Health & Safety Culture
- Conformity to ISO 45001:2018, supported by our independently certified Health & Safety Management System.
- Consistently successful accreditation through Constructionline and Achilles, ensuring we go beyond industry minimum requirements and other recognised
- Frequent site inspections and audits carried out by our in‑house Health & Safety Managers.
- Regular project inspections undertaken by senior management and directors.
- Annual health and safety improvement programmes, aligned with our commitment to continual improvement.
- A strong focus on behaviours and competence, ensuring all who work for Lindner Prater understand their responsibilities and receive the necessary information, instruction, training and supervision.
- Daily risk identification and reporting, including the reporting of all near misses or changes in conditions.
- Empowering employees to stop work where conditions are unsafe, with the full support of management and “without any fear of recourse or disciplinary action”.
- Maintaining safe systems of work and suitable risk controls, ensuring compliance with all statutory duties placed upon the Company.
This collective focus, supported by visible leadership, structured governance and active workforce engagement has played a significant role in improving our health and safety performance year on year. It reinforces our belief that safety is not simply a requirement, but a shared responsibility and a fundamental part of who we are as a business.
