Lindner Prater has recently won three major new contracts in London and the specialist building envelope contractor will be applying its decades of experience and technical knowledge to The Peninsula London, 80 Fenchurch Street and Wood Wharf developments.

The £600 million Peninsula London has been designed by Hopkins Architects as the sister hotel to Hong Kong’s famous Peninsula, and will comprise 190 luxury hotel rooms as well as up to 28 high end residential apartments. Sir Robert McAlpine is the construction manager on the project for which Lindner Prater has been awarded a significant scope of works. In collaboration with its supply chain partners, the specialist contractor will deliver a number of different roofing finishes, including an extensive hot melt inverted roof system with elements of green and zinc roofing. The contract also includes acoustic plant screens with bespoke Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) doors.

Eighty Fenchurch Street, designed by tp bennett, is a mixed-use development combining 14 storeys of office space with retail units on the ground floor. Lindner Prater will be delivering the logistically complex roofing package, which includes terraces of varying heights and designs. Lindner Prater and main contractor Skanska have collaborated on previous projects including the extension of the Walsall Manor Hospital in the West Midlands.

The Allies and Morrison designed D1 and D2 buildings of the Wood Wharf development are part of the latest phase of expansion of the Canary Wharf Estate. Lindner Prater’s work on the mixed use residential and commercial buildings is the latest in series of projects in Canary Wharf and Lindner Prater will be responsible for delivering the roofing package for both buildings.

Mike Goddard, Pre-Contracts Manager at Lindner Prater commented: “We are proud to be part of creating these new London landmarks that showcase the variety of new developments being built in the capital. These contract wins demonstrate the strength of our experience and approach, as each represents an ongoing or renewed relationship with the main contractors on the project.”
